This style of yoga is suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a branch of ancient practices that includes intentional breath work, postures, relaxation and meditation.

This style is well known for developing strength and increasing flexibility, but was traditionally practiced to help balance and preserve vital life force energy and to prepare the body for long periods of time in seated meditation.

Some Hatha Yoga classes offered are:

Stretch and Tone Hatha
This all-levels class is built on the traditional Hatha practice of the 12 Basic Asanas as sequenced by Swami Vishnudevananda Saraswati in honour of his guru, the great Hindu spiritual leader Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati. The practice includes Pranayama (breath work), Asana (poses), Dhyana (meditation), and Savasana (relaxation) aiming to create a healthy body, mind, and spirit. This is an easy to follow sequence with adaptations offered to make the practice suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Gentle Hatha Yoga
Gentle Hatha Yoga is a mildly active class with gentle variations of traditional yoga poses geared toward making the practice accessible to all. Increase your flexibility and strength while improving your mood; this class will leave you feeling limber, energized, and happy! This all-levels class is also great for beginners.

Adapted Yoga for Aches and PainsĀ 
This gentle class with adapted variations of traditional yoga poses is designed to make the practice accessible to those working through physical discomforts like chronic back dis-ease, arthritis and sciatica. Increase your flexibility and strength while improving your mood! Pre- and postnatal friendly.

Yin/Yang Hatha Fusion
Yin/Yang Hatha Fusion is a luxurious blend of meditation and movement designed to take the practitioner through a full energetic and physical body experience. Relieve tension in your joints, build heat and strength in your muscles, stimulate organ function, improve your mood, and balance your mind. This class is open to all levels. No experience necessary.
