Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing reset for the nervous system.
Using comfort items like blankets, cushions, and eye pillows we find highly supported and easeful shapes to help restore, renew, and rebalance.
This practice is accessible to anyone and is especially beneficial to those in the process of deep healing from any kind of surgery, injury, stress, or trauma.
Restorative Yoga
In this practice we assume a relaxing pose while our bodies are supported with props, such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps. An attitude of rest is taken between 5 and 10 minutes, while we withdraw from the external world. Restorative yoga has long been touted for its ability to decrease stress, help people heal from illness, and increase flexibility.
Restorative Yin Yoga
This style of class is a luxurious blend of traditional Yin postures with the supported, relaxing, and healing benefits of a restorative practice.
Restorative Suspension Yoga
Restorative yoga can also be practiced with the help of suspension equipment. This unique practice allows the body to rest and be supported by a beautiful hammock made of parachute fabric, while diving deep into the rest and renew state of the nervous system. Suspending during restorative practice can have the added benefit of soothing, swaying motions, as well as finding unique ways to support the poses that might be otherwise difficult.
